How To Pick A Theme For Your Wedding

So wedding season is upon us and we could not be happier! With the modern wedding moving more and more away from tradition, we see the "themed-style" weddings becoming more prevalent. But how do you decide on a theme? Maybe you like that gorgeous peacock theme but the glam wedding also looks appealing. Or maybe it's the rustic look that tickles your fancy. Or maybe you just really like pink and must incorporate that. Don't feel too pressured when it comes to choosing a theme. We've got some tips to help you with this.

Having a vision of what you like is enough to steer a vendor in the right direction to meet your expectations. So where to begin? Think of your location. Is it an outdoor venue or an indoor venue? Is it a large auditorium or a smaller enclosed space? Is it a garden area or on the beach? Based on your venue you may come up with ideas or may have seen previous styles that peak your interest. The venue may also have a colour combination from their existing decor that you may utilize.

Another thing to consider may be how you and your fiancé met or where he proposed. Maybe that has sentimental meaning to you and you would like to incorporate that. You may also consider hobbies that you may have and make a theme out of that. If you are still stuck, there are many more common themes that you may use and you may add some DIY or personalization to make yours stand out from the rest! Some of these themes may include boho chic, garden, rustic, glam, vintage, peacock, Mardi gras, silver screen, the Great Gatsby, mod, traditional, elegant, romantic, classic, industrial, beach, the Hunger Games, or Christmas.
